• Things to know about renovating wooden floors:
• Wood floor renovation is to restore the old floor to its original shine and extend its service life by sanding the surface of the floor, filling gaps, applying primer, and oiling.
• Mold and blackening usually penetrate deep into the floor, and there will be black marks on the surface of the floor after polishing.
• In addition, severe deformation and damage to the floor cannot be remedied by sanding.
• Renovating wooden floors is suitable for the following situations:
• Deep grinding: Suitable for old floor surfaces that have lost their luster, faded, are damaged, or have many scratches.
• During construction, grind the floor surface about 0.5mm deep. If the scratches are too deep, the gaps are large or the floor is severely damaged, it can only be repaired.
• After construction is completed, there is no guarantee that the renovation will be free of defects.
• If you want other colors for the old floor, deep sanding will remove the color and return it to the original wood color.
• Shallow grinding: Suitable for floors in new buildings or floors with no damage or obvious scratches on the surface, but only loss of gloss.
• Shallow sanding will only remove surface coatings and dirt and will not affect the color or special design of the floor.
• Specially designed floors may have wavy, serrated or parquet surfaces.
